FAQ
Q: What is a seafood boil?
A: Jumbo shrimp, spicy andouille sausage, red bliss potatoes, corn on the cob and sweet Vidalia onions are layered, seasoned ( with our own special blend) to perfection and expertly cooked together. Served with our signature butter based sauces (Lemon Pepper, Garlic Butter and Cajun Spice). We pride ourselves on providing quality, fresh and when available, local ingredients. Our spicy andouille sausage is shipped up from Louisiana—for that true low-country boil taste. Want to take it up a notch? You can add seafood such as snow crab legs and lobster tails!
Q: WHAT IF I DON’T EAT SEAFOOD BUT STILL WANT TO JOIN THE FUN?
A: No worries. We accept everyone. We can prepare grilled chicken breast with all the boil fixin’s or prepare a veggie plate for others.
Q: WHO RUNS BOILING POINT DETROIT?
A: We are a local Detroit couple that turned our backyard boil parties into a business! We have been fortunate to travel and live in many great cities and nothing makes a city more great than good food and good company. By far our favorite has been the southern and coastal seafood experience-fresh seafood, zesty spices and two hands digging in. We have now brought that experience to our hometown with our own flair and flavor and we can’t wait for you to try!
Q: is boiling point Detroit a restaurant?
A: No—-not yet. We are a catering and events company which allows us the flexibility to come to our clients and serve them. So, whether we drop off our delicious food at your next gathering, host a boil for your friends or colleagues at your event or pop-up at a local festival or community gathering, we are here to serve you!
Q: how do I partner with BPD for my next event?
A: It’s easy—-shoot us an email at booking@boilingpointdetroit.com and let’s connect. We are always looking for partners (food, events, beverage, music) that will make an exceptional and unique experience for our customers. Let’s get crackin’!
Q: when is the next pop-up?
A: You can always check our calendar and social media pages for where we will be around the city. Have a suggestion for where we should pop-up? Email us and let us know.
